When explaining the motor starter, it is necessary to explain about a motor. On turning the switch of the motor on, the voltage starts flowing through the oil of the contractor, which creates a magnetic field. The magnetic field thus created pulls on the points of the contractor and allows the electricity to flow to the windings of the motor.

For a 3 Phase Motor starter, there are several things that are to be kept in mind. One has to examine the wiring pattern of the motor thus wired. Identify the terminals of the motor needs to be done. The starter's wiring also needs a check. The wires of the starters will have their labels as well. 3 –phase power supply disconnect box also needs checking along with the examining of the terminals of the switch's wire. Starter's switch wires are needed to be inserted into the terminals of the switch wire and the terminal screws need to be tightened with a screwdriver.
